Obituary of Michael J. Bodnar

Michael J. Bodnar,78, died on Thursday June 12, 2003 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ.
He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. And lived in North Arlington, NJ before moving to the Rockaway area 1963.
He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1948 with a BS in Chemistry
He served in the US Army during WWII, and he had received 2 Purple Hearts as well as a bronze star.
Michael was a Chemical Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Township, NJ for forty years retiring in 1994.
Michael loved his family and was very proud to have served his country during WWII, as well as his work at Picatinny Arsenal.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie C. nee Nicholson. A daughter Lisa Giaquinto of Port Murray, NJ, and a son Michael C. Bodnar of Whitehall, Pa. He also has five grandchildren; Jessica, Frankie, Michael, and Marie Giaquinto and Zachary Bodnar.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial Service will be held on Monday June 16, 2003 at 10:00 AM at St. Clement Pope and Martyr RC Church on Mt. Pleasant Avenue Rockaway, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
