I wanted to tell the balko family I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. My ex husband and I purchased your dad's home in highland lakes. I remember when we came to see the house how sad mr balko looked. My heart went out to him. I remember Juliette the Rottweiler. I loved that house and had many wonderful memories there. I felt we belonged in that house. Between my name being Barbara and owning 2 Rottweilers it made sense. I remember asking Mr Balko about Mrs Balko. He told me she loved owls. So I put a owl in the upstairs front bedroom in her honor and also we planted a magnolia tree in front in honor of Barbara Balko. I had been going to highland lakes since I was born. It's the only place I truly felt at home and at peace. I wanted to share this with you his family. I was thinking of him and when I entered his name I saw this obituary.
The joy I has living in your parents home was truly a pleasure and I loved it.
May your mom and dad rest in peace. And I hope this little story will make you smile a little.
With Sympathy,
Barbara Clark (married last name was Goul)

Our memories of Bill will last forever. He was a great man. When he moved to Saint Francis he was loved by all. When he introduced me to his daughter Pat, I said to her, “My wife is in love with your father”. Bill quickly replied, “And I am in love with her”. We all laughed, but it was so typical of Bill. He loved everybody and was loved by all. May he Rest In Peace!
