Allen,
I'm just finding out. I can't thank you enough for being a part of my life. Taking me to your secret fishing spots in seaside or hunting with you up in Rockaway. Im so glad I got to talk to you back in Sept. I still remember the first day we met on that beach fishing for stripers in seaside. You were so willing to take me under your wing and teach me beach fishing. Condolences to the family.
I going to miss you buddy

There are so many fond memories of Allen filled with so much love, joy and laughter. I remember when we first met when we were young couples, to sharing special moments as our families grew, enjoying a delicious dinner theater evening to snowmobiling in The Poconos in the cold winter’s snow, loads of fun at the lake and our retirement party. No matter where we were we always had wonderful moments together. I will cherish each and every memory. Love you more, Penny

One of my fondest memories of Allen was during Hurricane Sandy. Since there was no power, Allen made a roast pork in the fireplace and boy was it great! He followed that up the next morning with percolated coffee and homemade oatmeal done on his camping stove. I’ll never forget that.
I’ll miss you dear friend, Rest In Peace.
Love,
Carolyn

Our deepest sympathy goes to your family. We live behind Allen and always enjoyed talking with him about the dogs, his hunting and trail cameras about all of the animals he saw in the woods. Our dogs loved him as he always walked over and gave them treats. He will be missed. The Vassi Family

I don't know where to start except I've known Allen for sometime now and always looked forward to his coming down to Seaside Park. We would always get together whether it was a call from him to me asking for help with his TV ( he loves the TV) or just sitting in the front having a beer but our conversation always turned to fishing, boats and life. When Allen was on my boat fishing for fluke I'd love to listen to his stories of fishing from years ago especially the story about his shark, and I was always welcome on his boat when we were together it was fun and for me informative. We would always start the season in freezing cold March putting in our mooring poles for our boats and that was always hectic and fun. Anyway my friend rest easy, but remember my friend when I shove off this season coming up to go for fluke there will always be a seat for you on my boat. Smooth sailing.

Our hearts go out to all the family. We are neighbors of Alan at Seaside Park. We loved taking to Alan as he took his walks and stopped by. He was funny, witty and a lovely gentleman. Bless him and our sincere condolences to Mary Lou the love of his life. Rest In Peace dear Alan, may you sail your boat into the sunset.
