Obituary of Sister Mary Teresa Riepl

Sister Mary Teresa Riepl, a Sister of the Sorrowful Mother, was called to her eternal reward on March 23, 2003 at Saint Helens Retirement Center in Denville, New Jersey. Sister Mary Teresa was born on April 17, 1913 in Eismansdorf, Bavaria, Germany. She was invested with the religious habit in Rome, Italy in August 1934. Sister Mary Teresa was an X-Ray technician and she ministered in several of our hospitals in Wisconsin. She was then transferred to Saint Clares Hospital in 1953 where she served as one of the founding Sisters of Saint Clares Hospital until 1972. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father William Freeswick at Our Lady of the Sorrows Convent Chapel on Wednesday, at 10 A.M.. Homecoming will be on Tuesday, at 2:00 P.M. with a wake Service at 4:00 P.M.. Sister Mary Teresa is survived by several nieces and nephews in Germany.
