My Mom just told me that Mrs. Rankin passed away a few months ago. I am so sorry for all of your losses. I still have such fond memories of the many days and nights she welcomed me and my sister into her home. Yes she put us to work and yes we got the same punishments as the other kids, but we always knew how much she cared about us. I remember how she would sing in the station wagon when driving us all over Mountain Lakes. I remember her incredible laugh and smile and how even then I wondered how she always stayed so nice and friendly and happy with so many kids, so much laundry, so many trips to the super market etc. The world was definitely a better place with Mrs. Rankin in it. All of you are so incredibly lucky to have had her for as long as you did. Miss You All. RIP Mrs. Rankin

I was most fortunate to have many of you Rankin children in my classes in Wildwood School...No matter what project I asked for parental help, your mother was always among the first to volunteer...I so well remember when we had cooking projects, she would bring the two youngest with her and never missed a beat...What a mother she was as obviated by all of your thoughtfulness, kindness and success. To all of you Rankin kids more then anything I remember your Moms laugh. She was a great customer, a better friend and so very proud of all of you.
