Louis P. Schmitt passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2003. He was 94 years old.
Born in Waphton, ND he had served in the Army in WWII and worked on the Manhattan Project.
He achieved a bachelors degree and became an electrical engineer working for many years at Joslyn Manufacturing & Supply Company in Saddle brook, NJ. He retired in 1975.
Surviving is his wife Anne M. (nee McGarvey) Schmitt of Denville, NJ, Daughters Pat Vieser of Bernardsville, NJ and Mary Anne Scott of Nashua, NH. He was also the grandfather of 3.
A memorial service will be held on January 18 at St. Francis Chapel in Denville, NJ at 11:00 AM.
