Obituary of Dana S “Dan” Kelsey

Dan S. Kelsey, 91, died on Monday January 6, 2003, at the Dwelling Place in Dover, NJ following a long illness.
He was born and raised in Chester, NJ and moved to the Indian Lake section of Denville in 1935. In 1977 he and his wife Florence moved to Palm Harbor, Florida, until moving back to Denville in 1998.
During WWII he had been in the Civilian Service.
He retired in 1976, as an automobile salesman for Thompson Volkswagon in Morristown, NJ. Prior he had owned and operated a novelty store in Morristown, and prior to that he had been a salesman for the Pennzoil Corporation covering the New Jersey area.
His wife Florence nee Lindabury died on November 9, 2000, and a daughter Mrs. Joyce Lusardi died this past Friday January 3, 2003.
He was a devoted father to Barbara Miller of Denville, Judy McCarter of Rockaway, John Kelsey of Suwanee, Ga., and David Kelsey of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Loving grandfather of twelve, and great grandfather of thirteen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 9, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of Flowers donations are being accepted to The Center of Hospice Care 187 Millburn Avenue Millburn, New Jersey 07041.
