I have many fond memories of Cheryl. In kindergarten, I would go across the street to her house, and Mrs. Lenz would babysit me until my mom came home from work to pick me up. Thus, I have many sweet memories of playing with Cheryl at their house, and hanging with her siblings and her dog Shawn. (I can't believe I remember the dog's name!)
I'm so sad to have heard of Cheryl's passing but I do hope she is at peace.
Bless her family -- Cheryl will not be forgotten....

Abby-
I don't know if you remember me but we used to be best friends in 5th grade until you moved away. When I heard from my grandma what happened to your mom, I almost cried. Whenever I came over to your house she was always so nice to me. I am so sorry about what happened and I just want you to know that I miss you and your Mom.

With Cheryl’s birthday coming up soon, and then the holidays it has not been easy for anyone in this home. Both Abby and Isaac are on different levels when it comes to the memories of their mother, but they both still love their mom and know that every day she is with them in body, mind and soul. The children are doing better than expected at this point, but with the knowledge and love of their mother imbedded in them it is not surprising. May all take strength from them and endure, knowing that our children our in possession of Cheryl’s strength and character.

Cheryl was a very loving and devoted mother. She was also a very loyal friend who would do anything for you. I worked with her and was amazed at how dedicated and hardworking she was. I was glad to know her and will be forever grateful for her friendship and support. She was a beautiful person inside and out.
Abby and Isaac, I'm sure you're mom will be watching over you both as you continue to grow and celebrate all of your special milestones. Nothing meant more to her than being your mom. I hope that some day you will reach out to her family and friends so they can share all of their fondest memories of her with you, many of which included you. Until then, may God bless you both and keep you safe.

If Teardrops Were a Stairway...
If we had one lifetime wish
One dream that could come true
We'd pray to God so hard
For yesterday and you.
The things we feel so deeply
Are the hardest things to say.
But we your family, love you
In a very special way.
They say memories are golden
Well maybe that is true.
But we never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.
If teardrops were a stairway
And heartaches made a lane,
We'd walk a path to heaven
And bring you back again.
A thousand times we've cried.
If our love could have saved you
You never would have died.

Cheryl touched all of our lives with her caring ways. She was a devoted and loving mother to her family. On the many visits to us when she was growing up, she always wanted to be a helper. Our daughter, cousin Dawn, from very early on looked up to Cheryl who was about a year older and would enjoy reading the books Cheryl read and playing similar music. We will miss you, Cheryl, and know that you will always be in our hearts. You were very Special. God Bless and may you rest in peace. With all our love,

My heartfelt condolences to the Lenz family and to Cheryl's precious children Abby and Isaac. Our families grew up with each other. I remember so many times
"hanging out" with Cheryl and the gang.We all worked in the kitchen at St. Francis during high school. So many laughs and goodtimes. Knowing
Cheryl from childhood years, she was so friendly,
nourturing, caring, respectful, and so much more.... I'm certain she was that and so much more as a mother. There was such a natural worry free charisma about her that gave her the ability to be friends with any type of personality that came her way. Everyone knew Cheryl
for her extreme kindness, outgoing personality and her long beautiful blonde flowing hair. I'm sadden that this beautiful person is no longer here on earth with us to share the great qualities she possessed.
GOD needed another angel in Heaven. I'm sure Cheryl is looking down from Heaven and
watching over all those who were very special and important to her in life. Especially her most cherished children, her parents, brothers, sisters, friends. Cheryl rest in peace my friend. Abby and Isaac, From the very day you both were born, she has been in your heart and you in hers... Keep those memories you shared close. Your mom will be with you everyday and always. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember the first time I met Cheryl. I was standing in Sue Lenz's kitchen when she came to visit. Sue & I were good friends. In looking at Cheryl, she looked so much like her brother Dave with those beautiful eyes. Her pleasant and sweet personality was more then impressive. Cheryl was about 19 yrs. old at the time.
My heart goes out to Cheryl's family & friends...God only knows why he takes these wonderful people from us, but know that she is with Sue now....hanging out just like old times....angels in heaven, just as they were angels on earth. God bless you Cheryl.

My heart and soul go out to the Lenz family and to Cheryl's children.
Cheryl was my coach when I first started work in 6/2000. Years later she was one of my supervisors. Now in a different department, my heart broke at the news of Cheryl's passing. One thing I never forgot about Cheryl was that during my own tragedy, she was so supportive and understanding. It truly showed the kind of heart that she had. And that memory of her I'll never forget. She genuinely cared for others. Sometimes, God calls his Angels sooner than we expect.
But she will look down on those she loves. May she rest in peace now with her new wings.
