Obituary of Ralph Bromley Bogard

Ralph Bogard peacefully transitioned to his Lord on Tuesday morning, August 14. Ralph was a resident of Palm Beach Shores, Fla. and Rockaway New Jersey. He was born on a farm in Pella, Iowa in 1914. At 98 years old, his memories have eclipsed nearly one century. Ralph had two sons, Kerri and wife Cindy of Florida and Larry and wife, Bette of Colorado.
Ralph is credited with multiple patents, having worked as an electrical engineer with Pratt Whitney in its aerospace program. He retired after 50 years of service. In Florida, Ralph was also a founding member and Elder of the Faith Lutheran Church in North Palm Beach.
In 2001, Ralph married Joan Grisee, formerly of Boonton Township. They shared 11 wonderful years together. He was devoted to his wife, Joan and described his marriage to her as the best years of his life. He is remembered by all as a gentleman of impeccable taste and character.
Survivors include his adoring wife Joan, and his beloved five step daughters; Susan Pappianou, Sally Dixon, Wendy Demboski, all of Boonton Township as well as Sheryl Colligan of Mount Olive and Chrissie Signore of Wyckoff. He also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge the love of daughter Susan and son-in-law, Bob, who lovingly cared for Grandpa Ralph in their home until his death.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, August 16 at the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church at 38 Valley Road in Boonton Township. Service begins at
11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockaway Valley Methodist Church.
