Katherine Lehman Hutchinson passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017.  She shared 91 years of love and faith with her family and friends.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 5th at 10 am at the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 5 Simpson Ave, Mt Tabor, NJ.  Burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.  Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 4th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.  Donations in her name may be made to the good work of  the Nancy & Skippy Weinstein In Patient Hospice & Palliative Care Center or to the Mt. Tabor Garden Club by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.

Born in Sharon Springs, NY, Katherine was the daughter to Ezra and Elizabeth Lehman.  After highschool, she attended Oneonta State Teachers College, graduating with a BA in Education. She met MacDonald Hutchinson in Sharon Springs while working at the Imperial Baths, and soon were married  in January 1947 in Canajoharie, NY. As a member of Mt. Tabor UMC, she helped form and became a teacher and director of Tabor Nursery School for twenty-nine years.  Katherine was also involved in other community activites, including the Mt. Tabor Garden Club and Interfaith Food Pantry.  She and her family enjoyed many camping vacations on Cape Cod through the years and  many afternoons at Deer Lake.  She felt fortunate to raise her family in Mt. Tabor and have such dear neighbors for decades.  She was an amazing Mom and adored Grandma to her eight grandchildren.  She was also the proud Great Grandma to two little ones.  Kay surely will be missed and has given us much to celebrate.

Predeceased by her husband MacDonald H. Hutchinson, her son John B. Hutchinson and her sister Gertrude Rapp; she leaves happy memories to her children Donald (Kathleen), Dale (Nancy), Neal (Candice), Dawn Miller (Larry), and Anne Marie Woerner (Robert); her grandchildren Brian Hutchinson (Ryanne), Megan Hutchinson (Ricardo Cantu), Jon and Duncan Hutchinson, Larry Miller (Julia Reeves), Liz Miller (Lexi Jordan), Stephanie and Christopher Woerner; great grandchildren Quinn and Kellen Hutchinson; and many more dear relatives, caregivers and beloved neighbors.
