Obituary of Harold H. Fahrer

Harold H. "Dusty" Fahrer, 86, passed away at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ on Friday January 1, 2010.

 

Mr. Fahrer was born in Newark, NJ, he enlisted in the United States Navy and his naval career for fourteen years including World War II, the Korean War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a resident of Denville, NJ and Rosenberg, Texas before settling at Lake Hopatcong, NJ. He was a Boiler Operator at various employments, and retired from the Allied Chemical in Morristown, NJ after many years service.

 

Mr. Fahrer was predeceased by his daughter Juanita Auerbach in 2001.

 

He is survived by his wife Laura (nee Moody) Fahrer, his six sons, Wayne and his wife Maureen Fahrer of Mine Hill, Frank and his wife Donna Fahrer of Hopatcong, Harry and his wife Karen Fahrer of Denville, Brian Fahrer of Landing, Donny Fahrer of Wharton, Vance and is wife Jessica Fahrer of Alpha, and Marie Young and her husband Art of Port St. Lucy, Fl, his two step sons, Jim and his wife Candice Duswalt, and Michael and his wife Margo Duswalt of Rosenberg, TX, his two step daughters, Mary Pinney of Rosenberg, TX, and Laurie Johnson and her husband Bruce of Marion, AR, and his many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

 

Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday January 9th from 2-4pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Harold on web site).
