MacDonald, 81, of Denville, NJ passed away at home on Saturday January 2, 2010. Mr. MacDonald was born in Passaic, NJ grew up in Bloomfield and was a resident of Denville for over 50 years. After serving in the US Army he worked at J.H. MacDonald Inc. the family plumbing and heating business. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 274 until his retirement. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Mountain Lakes, NJ. He had an active retirement. He and his wife traveled worldwide. He enjoyed activities with his walking club. He was an avid circus fan his entire life. He is survived by Mary Irene MacDonald his loving wife of 56 years as well as his children and spouses, Dennis and Sharon MacDonald of Randolph, NJ, Patrick and Jane MacDonald of Smolan, KS, Maureen and David Lamm of Flanders, NJ, Sheila and James Anelli of Chester, NJ, his 12 grandchildren and one great grandson. He is predeceased by his son Michael MacDonald and his brothers, John and Bob MacDonald both were from Denville. Joseph’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Joseph on web site), on Wednesday January 6th at 9 am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Catherine of Siena Church Mountain Lakes, NJ, interment Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday January 5th from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
