Obituary of Lila A. Stephani

Please share a memory of Lila to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lila Ann Stephani passed suddenly on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  She shared 69 years of love and Norweigan pride with everyone she knew.  Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, September 9th from 2-5 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.  A time of remembrance will be at 4:30 that afternoon.  Flowers are lovely, but donations in her name may be made to the good work of the GFWC Womens Club of Denville Rockaway Area by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.  Please share your memories here.  Her family will cherish them forever.

Lila was born on May 25, 1949 to the late Albert and Anna Rolfsen. After HS she attended New England College earning her BA in Elementary Education.  She later met and married Vincent Stephani and they settled in Rockaway to raise a family of their own.  Lila was a proud Norweigan and was fortunate to spend this past summer in Norway with family and friends.  She spent many years working for Rockaway Schools as an aide, a job which she enjoyed each day.  She loved attending events at Nor-Bu and enjoyed nights out with her friends the “golden girls”.  She also enjoyed being a part of the Womens Club and donating her time for good cause.  Above all, she was a devoted Wife and Mother and a doting Beste.  The sun rose and set on her family and she bragged of the kids often.  Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing we have an Angel watching over her family with love and pride.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent; she leaves happy memories to her children Ingrid Segev (Oded), Torill Lorenzo (Michael) and Kjell; her grandchildren Elin, Erick, Michelangelo, Aksel, Hazel and Logan; her sister Louise Cluett-Thoresen (Roy); and many more dear relatives and friends.
