Obituary of Debra Lusardi

Please share a memory of Debra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Debra Lusardi, of Denville, passed away at home on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was 65 years young.

Debra was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina on July 11th, 1953 to the late George and Elaine Moore. Debbie had a wonderful childhood, growing up in Irvington, N.J. where she flourished in a home filled with love and laughter. She moved with her family to Denville in 1967 and graduated from Morris Knolls High School in 1971. Debbie entered the work force soon after and worked her way up the ladder in BASF’s Export Department. Apart from her knowledge and people skills, Debra’s professional success, as well as her success as a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and niece can be attributed to a smile that could light up a room like no other, and an unusual capacity to uplift spirits. Debra was as beautiful inside as she was outside. She loved people and consistently brought out the best in them. Debbie knew adversity as she overcame two bouts with cancer. She was an eternal optimist and lived by the credo “That you will find joy in overcoming obstacles and that no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost”. Debbie will be terribly missed and always treasured in our heart and soul.

Left to continue her legacy of unconditional love and pure joy is her beloved husband and soulmate of 29 years, Gregory Lusardi; her adored children, Adam (Janine) Norris, Kerra (Brian) Corio, and Elizabeth (Pat) Sullivan; her cherished grandchildren, Abigail, MaryCatherine, Stephen, Matthew, Ella, Rebecca, Charlotte, and Max; her treasured sisters, Diane (Steve) Clemens, Darlene (Alan) Price, and Kristine (Brian) Lieberman; her loving mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Lusardi; her caring Uncle Sonny (Mary Lou) Koch; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16th from 4 – 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 17th at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s RC Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville. Burial will follow at Denville Cemetery.
