It is our sincere hope that everyone will be safe and healthy this holiday season.
Donations in her memory may be made to the good work of Celebrate The Children School, 230 Diamond Spring Road, Denville, NJ 07834.
Lucille was born in Brooklyn to the late John and Frances Sanzone. As a young woman she met Gaetano DeLuca. They fell in love, married and started a family of their own. When the kids were young they moved out of Brooklyn to Long Island and later settled in Pompton Lakes. Lucille worked hard along with “Tommy” to give their family a beautiful life. She enjoyed having her home full of family and friends and making everyone a delicious meal. Her lasagna may just be world famous.
As the years passed, Lucile was blessed to become a Grandmother. She was the proud Grandma to four grandchildren and that was certainly her proudest title. The sun rose and set on the kids and she loved hearing what was new in their lives and being with them. After Tommy’s passing, Lucille settled into St. Francis where she made friends quickly. She enjoyed daily Mass and all the activities St. Francis offered. She especially loved when the students from Celebrate the Children would come and visit. Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with her sweetheart this Christmas.
She leaves joyful memories to her children Francine Rasa (Ken), Lucille Kuser (Don) and John DeLuca (Laura); her adored grandchildren Donny Kuser (Kathleen), Nikki Kuser, Michael Kuser and James DeLuca and many more dear friends and relatives. Her husband Gaetano “Tommy” and her brother George Sanzone passed previously.
