Obituary of Ann A. Abrams
Ann A. Abrams (Parks) passed away from a short illness at St. Clare’s Hospital on November 27, 2021, at the age of 80.
Born in Dover, NJ she lived in Dover, NJ before moving to Denville where she lived for 69 years.
Ann worked as a legal secretary for the Morris County Sheriff’s Department until starting a family in 1970. After her children were older, she returned to work as the Secretary for the Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum until she retired in 2008. Ann was a member of the Denville Sr. Citizens. She also delivered Meals on Wheels, helped with the Denville food drive, volunteered at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, and worked at the St. Francis Garage sales. She crocheted prayer shawls with the Threads of Love Ministry at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. She loved gardening, knitting, crafting and playing bridge.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don in September, 2021.
She is survived by her loving children Lisa Vanderhoof (Ken) of Parsippany, NJ and Brian Abrams of Califon, NJ.
She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, Zachary and Joshua Abrams and her niece Kathy and nephews William and Tom.
