Obituary of Josephine J. Piscitello

Please share a memory of Josephine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Josephine J. Piscitello, of Denville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at Franciscan Oaks Health Center. She was 95 years young.

Born and raised in Manhattan to the late John and Jennie Fraschilla, she was one of three children. Together as a family, they relocated to Brooklyn and that is where Josephine truly flourished. She graduated from Sarah J. Hale High School as Valedictorian. She found her true passion as a Seamstress, working for many different garment shops in Brooklyn. Josephine made and designed her own clothing and dresses; she was unequivocally talented.

In 1951, Josephine married her soulmate, Charles R. Piscitello, and together they raised 3 beautiful daughters. They loved to travel and spend time together.  She was a doting wife and exceptional mother, grandmother, and sister. Josephine taught us unconditional love and the true value of family. She dedicated all of her time and energy to spending time with us and we will always treasure those memories.

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Charles R. Piscitello,  and her loving sisters, Sadie, Mary, and Vera, she leaves only joyful memories to her adored daughters, Angelina Corbet of Charlotte, NC, Jeanne Piscitello and her husband Todd Siegel of Ashville, NC, and Carol Bedewi of Mt. Arlington, NJ; her cherished grandchildren, Danielle Siegel and her husband Michael Debetta, Alan Bedewi, Richard Bedewi, Charles Bedewi, Sarah Bedewi; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7th from 7 – 9 pm and Thursday, February 8th beginning at 9 am followed with Funeral Service at 10 am at Norman Dean Home for Services. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. Memorial Donations are being accepted in her memory to Franciscan Oaks Health Center by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence and special memory for her family.
