Obituary of Kenneth C. Moore

Kenneth C. Moore passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ after a brave battle with cancer at the young age of 54. Born in Passaic, he grew up in Rutherford and lived in Budd Lake before moving to Stanhope, NJ 20 years ago. Kenneth served in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years and another 2 years in the Coast Guard Reserves. He worked as a manufacturing engineer at Crestron Electronics in Rockleigh, NJ for over 15 years. Ken was a true survivalist and an avid outdoorsman who loved both freshwater and saltwater fishing. He also loved to hunt deer, and especially loved the challenge of tracking them, in both New Jersey and in the Adirondack's. Another passion he had was for wolves, and was an a strong supporter of the preservation of the wolf population. Ken's other hobbies were listening to music, reading history and building models of sailing vessels. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth V Moore in 1995, his mother Frances V. Moore in 2016, his brother Larry Moore in 2015, and by his sister Carolyn Decker in 2011. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Joyce M. (Tabachuk) Moore of Stanhope, NJ, and also by his loving sisters Bonnie Bordenkircher of Silver Creek, NY and Terry Monahan of Cold Brook, NY. A memorial for Kenneth will be held at a later date.
