Obituary of Jennie G. Melsom

Jennie Melsom passed away peacefully at Merry Heart, Boonton on Sunday, August 7th. A blessing to her family, she was 104 years old. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 12th at 12 noon at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit beginning at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Denville Cemetery. Donations in her name are welcome to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church: “Ray Hartman Fund”, 508 Green Pond Road, Rockaway Township, NJ 07866. Born in Brooklyn, Jennie lived in Lake Telemark for over 50 years. She worked as a secretary in New York City for many years and raised her family. She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity Church, longtime member of Sons of Norway and of the Rockaway Senior Citizens. She was sharp and could crush you in a game of trivia! Above everything in this world; her family meant the most to her. She was an amazing Mom, Nana, and Great Gramma. Predeceased by her husband Bartho (1970) and her son Paul Melsom; she leaves happy memories to her daughter Barbara Selland (Roy); daughter in law Lorraine Melsom, her 5 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
