Obituary of Joseph Fenton

Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joseph W. Fenton, of Rockaway Twp., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 05, 2016. He was 87 years young. Born and raised in Jersey City, he graduated from Dickinson High School. He was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. In Jersey City, he met and married his soulmate and sweetheart, Carol Van Miert. It was there that they started their family. After a while, they decided to move to Rockaway and stayed there ever since. He made a very successful career for himself as a Graphics Technician for Pitman Company, retiring in 1991. He was a previous member of the Peace Pipe Country Club and a current member of the American Legion Post #344. Above all, Joseph was a family man. He adored his daughters and grandsons and always wanted to provide for them. He will be missed dearly and treasured forever. Predeceased by his beloved wife Carol in 1999, left to keep his legacy alive are his beloved children, Debra Myshkoff and her husband William and Kelly Benvenuto and her husband Jack; and his cherished grandsons, Chris, Zach, Matt, and Taylor. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 10:00 am at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Burial will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Netcong. Public visitation will be held on Monday, August 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Funeral Home.
