Obituary of June Irene Lee

Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
June Irene Lee passed away on Thursday, May 26th, surrounded by her loving family. She was 69 years young and has left us all with happy memories to cherish. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations in her name by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org to the good work of the CJ Foundation for SIDS. Born to the late Robert and Margaret Sweigart, June was one of four children. While attending Morris Knolls High School she met David Lee. After a whirlwind romance, the couple married and settled in Denville where they started their family. June was the glue of the Lee family and the oil that made Peace Pipe Country Club run. For years she devoted herself to the club and her club “family”. When she wasn’t at Peace Pipe; she could be found shopping or spending time with her family. June was “put together” every day. He clothes, handbags, socks- well, they always matched perfectly! Above everything, June loved being a “Grammy”. Her grandchildren endearingly called her this and she was so proud of them. Not to be forgotten, her loyal canine Axel stole her heart 6 years ago and has remained by her side until her last days. Her zest for fashion and her spunk for life will remain with us all. Predeceased by her son David and her sister Linda; she is survived by her devoted husband Dave, loving sons Brian (Tina) and Michael; daughter in law Cindy Drain; grandchildren Dana Fuchs and Hunter Drain-Lee; sister Margaret and brother Robert; and many more relatives and dear friends.
