Obituary of Harry G. MacIntosh

Harry MacIntosh Jr. passed away at Inspired Living in Palm Bay, FL on May 23, 2016, he was 85 years old. Born in Glen Ridge he had lived in Denville, NJ for 30 years before moving to Florida last year. Harry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years as an electrical engineer at Englehart in Newark, NJ before retiring in the 1990's. He was a member an d past Commander of the Denville V.F.W. post 2519. Harry was an airplane mechanic in his youth and could repair anything; he was an avid builder and built many models from scratch including gas powered model airplanes. He was also involved in many town sports when his children were growing up. Harry was predeceased by his wife Doris (Beck) MacIntosh in 2001, and also by his son Timothy MacIntosh in 1985. He is survived by his children Thomas R. and Lisa MacIntosh of Denville, NJ and Linda A. & Larry Mirowsky of Palm Bay, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren Heather, Rebecca and Jessica and Timothy and his companion of 14 years Pat Lipke. Funeral services will begin at 9am on Wed. June 1, 2016, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 and then going to St. Mary's Church for a 10am Liturgy of Christian Mass. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, NJ. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday May 31, from 4-8pm. Donations can be made in his memory to: Denville V.F.W.
