Obituary of Eugene J. Arduino

Eugene J. Arduino passed away surrounded by his family at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune Twp., NJ on March 31, 2016, at the age of 84. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, son of Salvatore and Pauline (Abroscat) Arduino. He lived in Denville, NJ until 1987 when he retired to Point Pleasant, NJ. Eugene proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a supervisor for the Clifton, NJ Post Office and was President of the Clerks Union A.P.W. He then went on to be Postmaster in Lake Hopatcong, and then in Denville, NJ fro 1974-1987. He was the second in the country to be commissioned as Postmaster after the reconstruction of the post office. He was also a member of the Denville Rotary Club. He served as President of the Denville Rotary Club ('79-'80) and his term slogan was "Let Service Light the Way", he was also honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Arduino of Point Pleasant. His daughters Corinne (& Walt) Larkin of Kissimmee, FL, Brenda (& Roger) Joinson of Boonton, NJ, Elaine (& Anthony) Mayone of Sanford, FL and Kelly (& Gary) Setters of Denville, NJ as well as his grandchildren Amanda Joinson, Bradley Joinson, Robert Fagley, (& fiancé Nicole) and Maria, (& Jay) Stiles, his great grandchildren Wayne Darr and AnsleyFagley along with an exchange student Luiz Eduardo De Cunha Peppe of Uberlandia, Brazil, and his four legged friend Allie. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2016, at 6:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834. Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 6-8PM.
